History – Leicester has a rich and fascinating history. The city is well known as the birthplace of the Tudor dynasty following the death of the last Plantagenet King, Richard III at the Battle of Bosworth Field. Richard III’s body was later found under a Leicester city centre car park some 500 years later. The King Richard III Visitor Centre tells the fascinating story of his dynasty, death and discovery; it’s well worth a visit.
Shopping – Leicester has a fantastic selection of shops including all the top brands at the flagship Highcross Shopping Centre, plus unique and quirky independent stores in St Martins Square and Leicester Lanes.
Wine tasting experience – Just a short walk down the road from The Gresham, you’ll find the delightful Italian wine café, Veeno. For £34.95 per person, you could enjoy their signature ‘Trip to Sicily Wine Tasting’ experience. You’ll get six different wines to try plus a selection of delicious Italian meats and cheese and a homemade tiramisu to finish.
