June is a busy month, with tons of Jubilee celebrations across the city and Summer festivals kicking off - there’s lots to do! Here’s June’s instalment of the most exciting not-to-be missed events taking place in Leicester this month.
With the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend right at the start of the month, Leicester is hitting the ground running this June. The city will also be celebrating her Majesty at Belvoir Castle’s British Street Party. Expect delicious food and drink, traditional jousting, street performers and great family entertainment.
Over the weekend we will also see the long anticipated return of Leicester’s Riverside Festival! Spread across four areas around the city centre, the festival is sure to bring a whole host of activities, food, music and colourful culture to the area. Between the 2nd - 5th June, six independent cafes will be taken over by artists to bring creative and interactive workshops to the city's Jubilee celebrations. The Up Your High Street exhibition will bring artists and businesses together through art for the public to enjoy!
