Snizhana Yesaulenko, CEO of The Gresham Aparthotel, has been featured in the list of 20 Empowered Leaders: Female Forces in Hospitality and Real Estate by Serviced Apartment News.
Snizhana has been recognised for her pivotal role in the renovation of The Gresham to become the boutique aparthotel it is today. The fact that the bulk of the work took place during the pandemic made it even more complicated, and the results are testament to Snizhana's hard work and dedication.
Snizhana Yesaulenko, CEO of The Gresham Aparthotel said “I am truly honoured to feature on this list with many amazing women. Celebrating women’s achievements together and sharing our experiences from across the sector is very important to attract and retain women into the hospitality industry.
“The Gresham would not be the place it is today without the support and involvement of women who have a key role in every element.
“The Victorian building originating in the 1880s was designed as seven separate buildings that have been joined together over the years. So, leveling the floors was incredibly complicated; there were fireplaces and doors halfway up the walls! Added to this come the restrictions of renovating a Grade II listed building.
“It has certainly been an interesting project but I am pleased to say 13 months on The Gresham has kept the heart of the building for everyone in Leicester and beyond to come and enjoy a luxurious stay at.
“We can all play a part in helping build an equal world and that begins when we share our stories and support each other to be our best selves. It is not just about one day either, it is about feeling empowered every day.”
Additionally, on International Women's Day (8 March) Snizhana also joined 100 leading female hoteliers at Boutique Hotelier's special event. This was a celebration of the achievements of women from across the UK hotel sector, who have risen through the ranks of a male-dominated industry to become heads of department, general managers, CEOs, and founders.
Snizhana will be at MIPIM* in March as part of Team Leicester who are 20 public and private sector sponsors from across Leicester and Leicestershire focused on promoting the wealth of opportunities for investors and developers interested in the region.
